Test Manager - Kettering, UK

Trading since 1989, e.surv Chartered Surveyors is the UK's number one residential surveyor and the largest provider of property risk expertise and residential surveying services. To put it into numbers, we complete more than one property inspection every 12 seconds and employ over 600 surveyors from Land’s End to John O’Groats and Northern Ireland. We're part of the LSL Property Services Group PLC, which includes household names Your Move and Reeds Rains as well as the mortgage network PRIMIS. We work with lenders, intermediaries, social housing entities and estate agents in addition to private customers

Lead and develop the testing and quality assurance function across e.surv, ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of internally developed applications, data products, AVMs and third-party platforms. Drive test automation, AI-assisted testing and quality assurance whilst remaining a highly hands-on contributor.

Role responsibilities

• • Define and maintain the testing strategy and QA framework.
  • Lead testing across applications, data, AVMs and third-party systems.
  • Design and execute manual and automated testing activities.
  • Develop and maintain Leapwork and other automation frameworks.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate test case creation and execution.
  • Manage the AVM Tester and Applications Test Lead.
  • Coordinate release testing, defect management and quality reporting.
  • Provide release readiness assessments and quality assurance governance.

Essential skills

• • Test automation experience (Leapwork, Selenium, Playwright or equivalent).
  • AI-assisted testing experience.
  • Strong QA, SDLC and Agile knowledge.
  • Experience testing applications, APIs and integrations.
  • Strong stakeholder and communication skills.
• Desirable
  • Property, mortgage or valuation sector experience.
  • AVM testing experience.
  • CI/CD and DevOps knowledge.

Essentials Experience

• Essential
  • Significant software testing and QA experience.
  • Proven automation framework implementation.
  • Release testing and defect management experience.
  • Experience leading or mentoring testers.
  • Manual, regression, integration and UAT testing expertise.
  
  Qualifications
  • ISTQB Foundation or equivalent practical experience.
