“I am delighted to have passed my APC. The two-year process has been quite a journey and took a phenomenal amount of study. It involved critical analysis of my day-to-day work, much background reading and keeping abreast of developments within the industry and the wider property, regulatory and economic environment.

“The process has undoubtedly made me a better surveyor and the MRICS badge adds another layer of reassurance for our clients that we are working to the highest professional and ethical standards.

“I received great support from our training team. Initially Ashley Harry arranged my placement in one of our sister company estate agents and, latterly, Mike Toosey arranged some great training events, weekly question and answer sessions, and mock interviews.

“My mentor was area manager Tristram Jeffery, who in conjunction with PI manager Melanie Draper, arranged for me to undertake some PII reinspections, which gave me experience in Conflict Avoidance / Negotiation. Tristram also held a mock interview for me to practice my presentation, which formed the first part of the hour-long Final Assessment.

“This fantastic support from colleagues here at e.surv has been invaluable in helping me get to the standard required at the Formal Assessment, both in terms of my knowledge and my presentation – both of which have improved immeasurably.

“The APC process is undoubtedly tough – but worth it. I hope our success shows others that it can be done!”
