e.surv sponsors Mawsley FC U13s

e.surv is delighted to be sponsoring Mawsley Football Club’s U13s team (“Mawsley Tigers”), for the 2020-2021 season.

Unfortunately, like many sports, Grassroots football has taken a bit of a knock over the past few months, with teams unable to train or play many matches due to COVID restrictions. However, Mawsley U13s managed to fit in 7 league matches and a number of friendlies before the Christmas period (and the latest lockdown came into force). In fact, the Mawsley Tigers are currently presiding at the top of the Weetabix Youth Football U13s League (Division 2).

The team was understandably relieved when the government announced that grassroots football could resume from 29 March. They’re all itching to get back out on the field and get some use out of their distinctive black and amber e.surv kits.

Chris Tedore, the team’s coach, said:

“The boys of Mawsley FC U13s are very grateful for the kind sponsorship from e.surv Chartered Surveyors, especially in this challenging environment.

“Whilst the last few months has frustratingly seen a significant reduction in games when we have been able to play we have had some great successes.

“Although Mawsley Youth FC is a small village club, it has around 250 children playing, including 8 girls’ teams and an over 35s team. The club is a charity and could not survive without support from volunteers and especially our sponsors.

“The team simply would not be able to play without kit, so we all thank e.surv profoundly for your investment in youth football and our awesome football team!”

At e.surv, we’re always keen to support community organisations that go the extra mile to support the health, fitness and wellbeing of our young people. The dedication and commitment shown by the volunteers at Mawsley FC is admirable. Come rain, snow or shine, they give up their evenings and weekends to coach football to children who live in the village and beyond, arrange league matches and “friendlies” with other local teams, deliver community events, organize Children’s Christmas parties and so much more.

We’re really looking forward to following the success of the Mawsley Tigers and we wish them well in their upcoming matches.
